The Perfect Gift to Help Support UK Theatres
Special Offer! #theatresindanger book now only £10!
The last 2 years have been like no other, for everyone. And it’s no secret that the arts sector in general, and theatres in particular, have been especially hard hit. Whilst many businesses gradually started to reopen last summer, many theatres all over the country remained resolutely closed, some of them permanently. As we continue to emerge from the pandemic over the coming months, the huge challenges facing theatres all over the country remain very much live and present…
Spread over 40 pages, with a beautiful foreword by Kate Wasserberg, Artistic Director of Stockroom (formerly Out of Joint), the #TheatresInDanger book contains a wide selection of photographs, both front and backstage, that I’ve taken of many of the theatres I’ve had the pleasure of working in over the last few years, from national tours of plays and musicals like The Glee Club, Shakespeare in Love, Legally Blonde, Look Back in Anger and Not Dead Enough, to West End musicals Spamalot, Million Dollar Quartet, Viva Forever and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, all bound together in one gorgeous high quality book.
I’ve also put together a #TheatresInDanger portfolio of nearly 100 theatre photographs, that are all available as photographic prints.
All proceeds from the sale of the #TheatresInDanger book and prints will go to The Theatres Trust, who do such fantastic work on behalf of the theatres themselves, helping them to get back on their feet as and when they’re able to reopen, and back to the business of making theatre for everyone, all over the country.
I take photographs of every building I visit with work. These are beautiful, timeless spaces, with an energy all of their own. Their cultural value, and that of the work that they produce, to the communities they serve, is immense. They remain in great danger.
Huge thanks to Matty Graham for his tireless work in designing the book, Kate Wasserberg – Artistic Director of Stockroom (formerly Out of Joint)- for her hugely thoughtful and moving Foreword, all at Pentax and Ricoh Imaging for their support, the Lavenham Press for doing such a great job with the printing, and to all the theatres who so kindly and generously agreed to be a part of this project.
The first print run sold out in just 8 weeks! We’ve now reprinted, and have plenty of brand new copies hot off the presses ready and available to send out at the Special Offer Price of only £10. Order your copy now using the links below…
