Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2021

Delighted to report I had another decent outing at this year’s Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. The above image, “Storm Light”, was awarded the Runner’s Up spot in the “Your Vision” category at the 2021 SLPOTY.

The “Your Vision” category is essentially the “Creative Photography” section of the competition: mine is an ICM image of a big midwinter storm rolling in at Luskentyre on the West Coast of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, all made in camera with my Pentax K1ii as per usual.

Big congrats to Alan Fowler who won the category with a great take on the Duke of Wellington Statue in Glasgow, and also to Dylan Nardini the richly deserved winner of the competition with a gorgeous portfolio of landscape work.
