Landscape Photographer of the Year 2021 Shortlist

I was delighted to have made the shortlist again at 2021  UK Landscape Photographer of the Year.  It’s a competition I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for, and have been lucky enough to do pretty well in over the years: Adobe Prize winner and Highly Commended 2015, Commended 2013 and 2020, Shortlisted 2015, 2017 and again in 2021. 

This photograph also made it to the final stages of the inaugural Natural Landscape Photography Awards.

It was taken on Dartmoor near Black-a-Tor Copse, just after the end of lockdown in April 2021.  I’d gone with my good friend and fellow Pentax Ambassador Matt Emmett of Forgotten Heritage to do my first ever light painting session under his guidance, and, as is often the way, came back with something else entirely…
