#TheatresInDanger Launch

Right. Exciting news alert. #TheatresInDanger is my first book. It’s a 40 page collection of photographs that I’ve taken of so many of the theatres I’ve had the pleasure of working in over the last 10 years. Published on Wednesday December 16th (special launch price £15.95), I’ve written it specifically to support UK Theatres during this extraordinarily difficult time for the industry: all proceeds will go directly to the Theatres Trust, who do such amazing work helping our theatres to survive, and reopen, both now and in future.

I’m hugely indebted and enormously grateful to Kate Wasserberg, the Artistic Director of Out of Joint, who has written a seriously beautiful Forward; to the more than 30 theatres all over the UK (from the extraordinary Grand Opera House Belfast, to the glorious Kings Theatres in Edinburgh and Glasgow, regional powerhouses like the Mayflower Southampton, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Sunderland Empire, to West End heavy hitters like the Apollo and Noel Coward) who have so kindly given me permission to use the photographs I’ve taken in their beautiful theatres. All the photographs in the book, as well as those that I haven’t been able to squeeze in (and there are many of them) are available as signed and numbered prints – again, all proceeds from print sales will go directly to the Theatres Trust.

The book and 100 fine art prints can be ordered direct from my website: all prints will be sent off to the printers on the day of order, and copies of the book will be sent out first class from December 16th, so perfect for Xmas presents (last guaranteed posting day for Xmas is Monday 21st Dec).

Finally, I’m hugely grateful to photo journalist and editor Matty Graham, who’s idea it was to make this book, for his brilliant design and extraordinary energy, and also to our publishers the Lavenham Press, for their first rate advice, expertise and know how throughout.
